Nope, never look at titles nor care about them.

If i took a PuG Titles wouldnt really matter to me, how much they knew the area and skillbar would be more important.

I only really check if they directly use a particular PvE skill associated with a title, or in other cases where the title conferrs another benefit, like damage reduction and the like.

I don't discriminate over it, though. It's nice to see when people have a high title, though.

Most of the time I pug is in NM where me + 3 heroes can pretty much carry the team, in which case I take a few pug people just because its more fun. In this case it doesn't matter too much to me at all what their builds, but I still think its important to offer any advice if I see someone with something pretty bad. Much of the time if the pug does well you can move right on to the next mission and so on, and hopefully people will become nice enough to deserve a spot on friends list. The only titles I really see any skill in is Guardian, Vanquisher, or a fairly high hero rank or a champion rank. If someone has one of those they get a lot more leeway in their builds, and I'll consider any suggestions of theirs more then I would others. But no matter what if a player starts cussing or insulting other people they will get the boot. I really don't care if you have maxed every title in the game, you are out if you can't be polite. The fact is the whole game can be beaten with mending wammos, healing breeze monks, and assassins with 8 attack skills, but playing with someone who just acts like a jackass makes me want to stop playing.

I l;ook at the titles when we are doing something specific like vanquishing a certain area or what not. Like if we are in a charr area i would like the poeple to atleast wear their vangaurd title as it helps out. Other than that i like to see what people have cause its neat to see what people are doing.

I never play with PUGs, but the very thought of people getting into PUGs without a decent title makes me positively livid. How dare they!

(That was a joke.)

I don't pug often at all, but when I do I don't worry too much about it. I mean if I get in a group I'll sometimes have a look around and see what people choose to display, but it's really not a concern. I joined a pug to do Heart of the Shiverpeaks the other day, because it's much easier to beat that damn worm with enough people to carry kegs. We had a W/Rt who was spamming spirits. We still passed the dungeon very easily, and I got a decent laugh irl watching this warrior rock faces with his wanderlust. It was win-win. Why deprive myself of that much enjoyment by quabbling about titles or preaching about build effectiveness?

There are certain missions that I may PuG if no guildies are online, such as the Eternal Grove. I'll definately check the people's titles out of curiousity, but it really doesn't bother me what they have... Vanquisher/Protector/Guardian titles can be good to see, as it shows that these people atleast understood how to get through the different PvE areas.

Yes. If they show the skill(z) title I leave. Moronic title and shows what kind of people are behind GW.

I generally don't. Because I have like..very few maxed titles myself. I concentrate on all professions, and rarely would sit on one character for very long. I get bored a bit easily with working on a single profession so I switch around.

I look out of curiosity but don't really care all that much. More or less I check to see if they're going for the survivor title so that I can make sure to keep my wits about me and make sure that they don't end up getting all the aggro.

Other than that it's just out of curiosity, and depending on the title, quiet respect for the effort that have put into attaining whatever it is they're displaying.

Yeah i do check titles on players, specialy on AB teams (well the higher the rank the better the player no mistake there), as PvE goes it doesn`t matter that much there i tend to figure out how serious the player is, i really don`t have time for quiters and rushers. But there`s a cure for that most of the time, and that is to play with someone u know, which i prefer !!!
Even then when playin` with guildies or alliance i don`t mind takin some newbie in team as long i`m certain he can be controlled or he`s willing to learn something !!!

it depends. the only title that i'll look if a PUG member has it is the LB title. even then that's only if the mission/quest/farming benefited from it.

otherwise, no, title doesnt matter, skill bar does.

If I'm forming a FoW group and I see some guy with Map Exploration 60% and some guy with max treasure hunter chances are I'll take the treasure hunter.

Any real reason why? To a point, yes. Chances are the guy with the treasure hunter title is going to be the better player. Is it always that way? Of course not.

I check because I'm curious. The only time I take it into consideration is when it's the Lightbringer title, but even then I just ask the person to display it if they have it.
